Lumbertubs Community Safety is a high profile project as Lumbertubs has been chosen as the safer community team’s priority area for 2009/2010.

Work undertaken includes:

• Clearing dense overgrowth and shrubbery
• Litter picking
• Maintaining grassed areas
• Weeding
• Pruning
• Bank strimming
• Removing evidence of fly-tipping
• Defining Pathways

The main areas which have been identified to be concentrated on are Sedgewick Court, Alexander Court, Arbour Court, Tonmead Road and Court as well as Billing Brook.

"Cutting back shrubs may seem like a small job but it will help put confidence back in the Lumbertubs community, where fear of crime is a real concern. Open views done streets and in alleyways will allow pedestrians to be visible to other neighbours. That willthen make criminals think twice and people can feel safer in the areas where they live"
